Summary/Abstract: In 2021, the iconographic collection of the University Library was enriched with a sumptuous 144-page photographic album that included over 650 photographs depicting the town and local events. The photographs, mainly from the 1920s and 1930s, present the visual history of Murowana goślina in general views of the town, its architecture, monuments and the like, and document the activity of a number of various societies and associations (e.g. the Marksmen’s Society – the Brotherhood of the Rooster, Industrial Association, Association of War Invalids, Catholic Association of Polish Workers, “Concordia” Sports Club, Catholic Women Association, Associa-tion of Young Polish Women, Church Choir Association, “Harmonia” Musical Asso-ciation) and the town’s institutions (e.g. the municipal office, elementary school, and the post office) as well as the local events, such as celebrations of civic and public ceremonies and a variety of religious ceremonies.The present article discusses the content of this photo album, and presents a se-lected number of photographs that document and show the life of the communities of the town during the inter-war period. The time frame of the article is the 1920s and 1930s, while the discussion focuses on the Polish inhabitants of the town (the same time frame and the same community is presented in the photographs). In addition, the article discusses a dozen or so picture postcards from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, and a small number of photographs, also included in the photo album, depicting the german and Jewish population of the town.
