Summary/Abstract: All factors affecting road safety can be divided into three main types: related toman, vehicle and road. On the basis of police statistics, which keep accurate recordsof the number and causes of accidents over the years, it can be clearly stated that thelargest number of accidents was caused by man. In the first order, the person whodrives the vehicle and then the people wich use the road. The main causes of suchaccidents are, first of all: problems to adapt speed to traffic conditions, non-compliancewith the right of way, incorrect behavior towards people, wich use the road (incorrectcrossing the road and not get the priority to cross the road. It is a hugh problem onthe road is with drunk drivers car and bicycles. However, the good news is that thereare fewer and fewer of them every year. It is also worth noting the seasonal rules inthe frequency of accidents. Every year there is a tendency to increase the number ofaccidents in the summer, i.e. holidays, where traffic on the road is greater and driverscover distances longer than their usually standard way to work.
