Summary/Abstract: This paper sets out to analyze the material and symbolic dimensions of the non- domestic cleaning jobs in Argentina, considering the categories and conceptual frameworks proposed by intersectional studies and the anthropology of work. Using a qualitative methodology, it problematizes the precariousness that distinguishes these jobs and the aspects that allow us to confirm the existence of a gendered division of paid and unpaid work among cleaning workers in outsourced companies. Moreover, it takes up the category of informal worker cultures in order to think about the significance, the experiences and the resistances that are produced (in the case of this research) regarding the naturalization and social valuation about male and female roles.
