Educational Activities of the Evangelical Church in Zaolzie

Summary/Abstract: This study is an attempt to look at educational and social activities of the Silesian Evangelical Church of Augsburg Confession in Zaolzie in the Czech Republic. It analyses both specific socio-cultural conditions, their tasks and aims and takes into account the needs of nowadays youth and the ways of satisfying them. In this study a few problems and topics have been chosen for analysis, especially the activities which bear traits of specific conditions of multicultural and multi-faith environment of the church that are also attempts of creative discovery of unity in diversity or in other words the ecumenical cooperation between various churches.
