Summary/Abstract: The volume presents the state of higher education in Romania, particularly in the academic centre in Iasi, under the communist regime. Fresh information is supplied on the part played by the political report and the personnel department, on the purge and student expelling policy applied, on the nepotism practiced by the governing bodies, and on arbitrary governmental ruling.
