Summary/Abstract: The testimonies of the Romanian officers purged from various political reasons in 1945-1958 are relevant for the understanding of the destiny of a whole professional group in the Romanian society. A wide range of positions, from junior lieutenants of infantry up to chiefs of military missions with a diplomatic role, come up in the selection.
