Summary/Abstract: The author offers a global approach of the phenomenon. The chronology is structured on four levels: the political decision; the development of juridical mechanisms and administrative institutions which directed the collectivization; the dynamics of the relations between collective structures and private property in agriculture; the peasant protests against collectivizing methods. The chronology made use of major documentary sources: archives of the Romanian Information Service and the Commission for Abuse Investigation, Chamber of Deputies, Romanian Parliament.
