Summary/Abstract: Cristian Troncotă, historian, published several studies about the history of the Romanian Secret Service. The article presents the special laws which enabled the Communist regime to send to labour camps thousands of political opponents. Most of the documents consulted belong to the archives of the Romanian Information Service.
