CHANGES AND CHALLENGES IN INTERNAL ORGANIZATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS, CAUSED BY DIGITALIZATION

Summary/Abstract: This article traces the changes imposed by digital technologies on internal organizational communications. Its aim is to explore and expose the main changes brought about by digitalization, as well as to analyze the advantages and challenges they present for organizations. The most popular tools used, both time-honored and more modern, are examined. The main benefits of using modern electronic communication channels, both for employees and for the organization, are clarified. The most common problem areas in the same are also identified, and they are presented as challenges that modern management has to deal with. In this direction, opportunities for actions to improve communication are also proposed. Aspects related to development perspectives in the field and the use of virtual spaces for interaction between employees are included. Research related to employee communications, teleworking, attitudes towards digital technology and the protection of electronic data is described. The results are presented and illustrated, and conclusions are drawn based on the empirical data obtained.
