Summary/Abstract: This publication describes the cult of the Divine Mercy and its influence on the spiritual development of man. The author refers to the young generation affected by war, totalitarian systems and then global secularization. It presents the issue of the need to renew man’s relationship with God, spiritual healing and the development of faith in the modern world as well as the impact of worship on the spiritual development of young people. The aim of the article is also to show the history of the birth of the Divine Mercy cult and its Polish roots. It aims to present the most important figures associated with the revelation of the Divine Mercy – Sr. Faustyna Kowalska and Pope John Paul II, as well as to discuss devotions and prayer in the practice of Polish youth. All the above-mentioned issues are presented in four chapters with reference to the main theme, which is the Divine Mercy cult and its impact on the spirituality of children and youth.
