TikTok in the contex of a community - user relations and reactions during a pandemic

Summary/Abstract: This article analyses the global popularity of the TikTok application, which recently became an overnight sensation. The text also presents an analysis of selected recordings on coronavirus issues that appeared and gained the interest of users during the pandemic. The goal of the research was to determine how TikTok members reacted to the health threats associated with this COVID-19 disease and how they cope with the new social situation in the face of an ongoing epidemic. Therefore, the analyses were also aimed at determining the role played by TikTok during the pandemic. The text also touches on the issue of community. In this context, the considerations aimed at determining whether, in the face of the global COVID-19 threat, it is possible to analyse the formation of a community or communities focused on the subject of coronavirus on TikTok.
