Summary/Abstract: In the introductory part of the present article the author elaborates the questions related to the position of professor Lukić in the contemporary Serbian and Yugoslav political and legal thinkings. By his numerous and original works, Lukić has enriched the theory of state and law, the history of political and legal doctrines, political sociology, general sociology, the sociology of law, rural sociology, the sociology of morals, legal methodology and the philosophy of law. By his research and creativity he has achieved an exceptionally high position in Serbian, Yugoslav and in European political and legal thinkings as well. Further elaborated are the questions related to ideological sources of Lukić’s political and legal thinkings. Although Lukić has been influenced by various ideological sources and orientations, his main conception was not reduced .to these sources; they were only the motives, the reasons as well as mediums for a relatively original scientific activity. First significant intellectual influences in Lukić’s research were in his native, Serbian surroundings. He was thus particularly influenced by Djordje Tasić, Slobodan Jovanovic, and Toma Živanović. Also influential on his work were several foreign intellectual conceptions, such as French, Soviet, German and marxist. The author concludes that for a more reliable and more permanent evaluation of the ideological sources of Lukić’s political and legal thinkings one should effect a more extended and more fundamental research into Lukić’s numerous studies and works, and more particularly, there should be a time distance too in order to achieve impartial approach since Lukić today is a kind of the uncrowned king of the Serbian and Yugoslav theory of state and law and sociology.
