Summary/Abstract: Soviet invasions in 1979 and the US occupations in 2001 left scars that are hard to close in the Afghanistan. The country’s exposure to external interventions brought along years of internal conflicts and increased political instability. Millions of Afghans, caught between the clashes of the Taliban on the one hand and the occupation forces on the other, were forced to migrate. Türkiye is one of the countries most affected by this situation. Discussions about immigrants have flared up in the Turkish public in recent years and this problem has become one of the most important problems of the country. In this study, the concepts of migration, the reasons for Afghan migration, the situation of Afghans in Türkiye will be examined.
