Summary/Abstract: The main issue discussed in this article is a linguistic image of clergy in Polish-language Soviet magazine “Bezbożnik Wojujący”. This magazine was published in Moscow between 1929 and 1935, and its main goal was anti-religious atheist propaganda in national minority communities. One of the objects of pejorativization were clergy of all confessions. Soviet propaganda considered them to be ‘class enemies’, representative of ‘old’ imperial world. The article reconstructs the linguistic image of clergy and answers the question of what was the propaganda image in the researched sources. It shows the mechanisms of the propaganda creation.
