Summary/Abstract: Ethnolinguistic study of the dialect geography of the Bosnia and Herzegovina in the context of all South-Slavic folk traditions reveals the relations of the centre and periphery on the map. The area of folk vocabulary in the centre of the South-Slavic space covers the territory of the Bosnia and Herzegovina with adjacent regions of Western Serbia and Northern Montenegro and the outline under consideration is fixed in the direction of North-West – South-East. The examples of ethnolinguistic phenomena of the centre of the South-Slavic space are shown in the most archaic spheres of folk culture: in folk mythology and calendar customs.
