Summary/Abstract: The study traces the development of the legal regulation of the Hungarian administrative organisation system from the regime change to the present day. It examines the impact of the emergence and strengthening of the concept of political governance in Hungarian governmental work on the legal regulation of central and territorial state administration. The paper outlines the objectives of the most dominant reform concepts in the field and their impact on administrative law regulation. Using the example of the central office, the authors show how the guarantee role of organisational law in the definition and management of the administrative organisation system has been weakened, and assess the impact of this process on the relationship between the different types of administrative bodies, the position of administrative staff and the development of trust in public administration.
