Summary/Abstract: The object of analysis is the information and comments published in the most circulated and significant newspapers during the period 1992–1993, which informed the Bulgarian society about the events related to the disintegration of Czechoslovakia. The selection of analyzed sources includes materials from independent publications as well as from the party dailies and weeklies of the main political parties. The conclusion made is that only the most important facts related to the process of Czechoslovakian disintegration were present on the pages of the Bulgarian press, and they were often gleaned from foreign agencies and conveyed without excessive emotionality.
