Support Verbs and Other Realizers of the Nominal Predicate <comparison> in Scientific Texts

Summary/Abstract: Support verbs (verbes supports) and other realizers of the predicative noun <comparison> are the subject of this study. We submit to analysis the constructions prevalent in academic texts. The proposed analyses refer to the research on the realization of the predicate noun and are in line with the current research on the lexical-syntactic structures specific to the genre.
