Summary/Abstract: The digital revolution of the last decade and a half has led to a new era of analysis and exploitation of existing data and information. A systematic form of secondary data use has emerged that has put data management concepts in many sectors into a new perspective. This is particularly true for the health sector, which in Hungary has one of the largest data assets based on existing databases. The present paper outlines the experiences of the institutionalization processes that have started in the field of data-driven healthcare, as well as the future possibilities and directions of further research and construction in the field of data-driven healthcare, by presenting two projects (a management information system based on mobile cell data for motion monitoring and a pathological diagnostic tool supported by artificial intelligence) implemented in connection with the Faculty of Public Health Services of Semmelweis University.
