Summary/Abstract: The world's appetite for energy and minerals seems insatiable. At the current rate of exploitation of the Earth's natural reserves of fossil fuels, humanity could face severe energy shortage problems in the coming decades. We must therefore turn our attention to renewable energy sources such as solar energy. The choice of location for solar parks is a key issue, as it has a direct impact on performance, economic, environmental and social issues, as well as on existing and future infrastructures. Therefore, in this study, our primary objective is to support government (Ministry/MAVIR) decision making on the siting of solar farms, which can be further developed for investor and residential use. The goodness-of-fit value provided by the mathematical model, developed using features extracted from the public databases we use according to geographical coordinates (direct normal irradiance, average air temperature, altitude, electric grid elements), indicates the most suitable regions for the location of solar farms.
