Summary/Abstract: Saint Isaac the Syrian is one of the most present patristic authors in the hesychastic renaissance of a philocalic nuance in the Romanian space, starting with the time of Saint Paisius from Neamţ and up to the present day. He is probably one of the most well-known Fathers in the monastic space and beyond. His personality reveals him as both an ascetic and a theologian, as proveded by the presence of his writings in academic theological works.
