Summary/Abstract: The present text is a chronicle of the volume “Apologetics of the Primary Church”, signed by Ioniţă Apostolache, one of the young Romanian theologians. Apologetics is an important part of the Church, a priority regarding the interaction of Christianity with the external cultural environment. In his book, Ioniţă Apostolache covers the object, purpose, method and character of Apologetics. The author distinguishes between “theological sisters” apologia and apologetics. Apologia, older than apologetics, is represented by Saint Justin the Martyr and the Philosopher, Tatian, Athenagoras the Athenian, Tertullinus; apologetics appeared in the Middle Ages, with maximum development in the 18th century, in the context in which the Western Church had to find answers, to counter atheistic and materialistic philosophy. Written for everyone to understand, with a substantial bibliography, this recent work is a contribution to the history of the Christian Church and Christianity in general.
