Summary/Abstract: In the mawlids, in which the birth of Prophet Muḥammad to the world and the miracles that took place during this time were written subjects such as Āmīna’s pregnancy and Prophet Muḥammad’s childhood, physical and moral characteristics, prophethood, ascension, migration and death were also discussed. Poets have composed mawlids for various purposes such as reaching the mercy of Allāh, attaining the intercession of Prophet Muḥammad, leaving a relic in this world, being remembered with goodness, and burning those who read the mawlid with the love of Prophet Muḥammad. One of the most common types of Turkish-Islamic literature is mawlids. One of the mawlids that is not included in the literature and is the subject of our study is Behcet al-ʿĀbidīn. This work written by Qaraalizāde Ḫayyat Omar Efendi, whose name we cannot find in the sources, in 1417/1996 with Arabic letters and aruz prosody “fâilâtün/ fâilâtün/ fâilün”, was built in the form of masnavi verse and in 161 couplets. Omar Efendi enriched the work by adding Arabic salawat virds after the couplets in which he suggested to bring salawat to Prophet Muḥammad. Behcet al-ʿĀbidīn which is a copyrighted mawlid rather than a compilation text, and arranged in a classical style, is important in terms of being the last mawlid known to exist. In this study, firstly, information about the life of Omar Efendi, who is nicknamed Qarallī, is compiled and presented and Behcet al-ʿĀbidīn has been studied in terms of language, form and content. The transcriptioned text of the work was prepared and brought to the world of science.
