Summary/Abstract: Detecting certain deviations in the growth and development of each child will firstbe noted by the mother. It spends most time with the child, and will first determineif the development of the child in certain areas is behind or completely absent. If certain discrepancies in child development occur later, in the second or third year of life, and the child is already included in the preschool institution, it is expected that theeducator will notice the deviation. Certain competencies are needed to educate thelearner to the difficulty or discrepancy in growth and development. It is essential thathe is educator, trained, expert and experienced. The expertise of educators and education for detecting certain difficulties in development are closely related to workexperience. Experience is of utmost importance when it comes to communicatinginformation to parents because the way in which the observed problem for parentsis presented depends to a great extent on the future of the child.
