Summary/Abstract: The text aims to offer a meditation on the general structure of the holy text, with reference to the Gospel of Matthew. Having the overview of this Gospel in front of your eyes helps first of all as a mnemonic tool: you can better retain the entire message proposed by the evangelist. No less, however, the meaning of concrete passages from the gospels is better revealed by their inclusion in the whole body of meaning of which they are a part. The Gospel of Matthew is part, as we know, of the synoptic gospels. And although these can be read in parallel, each evangelist composed his text with his own intention and an overall structure to support that intention.
