Summary/Abstract: The topic of this article is the socio-political situation in the Reka region (western Macedonia) in the period of 1887-1912. It focuses on the establishment of Reka kaza and the introduction of the local Ottoman administration, as well as on the construction of local infrastructure, educational and religious conditions, revolutionary activities, propaganda activities, and the reports of robberies in this period. Most of the sources are extracted from the state archives of the Republic of Turkey (Turkiye Devlet Arşivleri Cumhurbaşkanlığı).
