Summary/Abstract: The purpose of article is to present the relationship between personality traits, a sense of self-efficacy and the level of stress versus the dimensions of occupational burnout in the group of high-risk occupations. Material and methods: In the study took part 360 people. The study tool was a sociodemographic survey, the Perceived Stress Scale, General Self-Efficacy Scale, Personality Inventory, Maslach Burnout Inventory. Results: Study results reveal a link between emotional exhaustion and severity of stress, the feeling of self-efficacy and certain personality traits among security employees. Stress co-exists with emotional exhaustion. The more stress is experienced, the higher the level of depersonalization and lowered sense of personal accomplishment. As the sense of self-efficacy, extraversion, amicability and conscientiousness increases, the level of depersonalization decreases. Conclusions: The important predictors for emotional exhaustion among the security personnel turned out to be seniority and having a hobby; depersonalization it was the quality of cooperation with the superior.
