Summary/Abstract: Aim of the article: Aim of the article: The aim of the article is to present the self-evaluation of the selected elements of the professional potential among Economics students at Pope John Paul II State School of Higher Education in Biała Podlaska. Material and research methods: Research was carried out with the use of the CAWI method in January 2021. The participants included 108 first- and second-cycle Economics students. Results: Economics students evaluate themselves as having high communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Most respondents evaluated their analytical, IT and language competencies more critically. Conclusions: Research results should make students aware of the need for a greater involvement in learning foreign languages, computer skills, economic and financial analysis. Such skills will be useful in working on operational positions in financial and non-financial institutions.
