Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article was to present reliable knowledge about the phenomenon of aggression and conflict taking into account the specificity of the field of social work. Material and methods: The theoretical material was supplemented by qualitative (aggression) and quantitative (conflict) research. The research on conflict was conducted in 2019 on a research group of 70 social workers. In terms of aggression, the research conducted in 2018 for the master’s thesis entitled. „Aggression as a key problem of the social worker in the relationship with the client. A multiple case study”. Results: Conflict and aggression, as expected, was found to be a real problem in the client- social worker relationship. Their destructive influence undoubtedly disrupts the process of proper communication and assistance and destroys relational and supportive networks. Conclusions: Showing these phenomena in a research dimension, can be an important construct for future appropriate preventive actions.
