Summary/Abstract: The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the way people do their daily activities. During the state of emergency, travel restrictions were imposed, so people had to spend time only in their homes. In this context, digital devices connected to the internet have become a solution for leisure. However, it is essential to explore the negative effects of internet browsing. Social workers create a response adapted to the crisis situation, assess the risks and act to eliminate online abuse. Social workers provide support to children addicted to the internet, identifying the causes that led to this situation. Specialists draw parents’ attention to the risks that children are exposed to when using the internet and the defense mechanisms they can use to avoid becoming victims. The research that I realized is qualitative. The aim of the study is to capture the negative experiences online and to analyze what changes have occurred regarding the use of the internet with the COVID-19 pandemic. The results I collected show that the pandemic intensified online activities. Cyberbullying can start in school (Perdew, 2014, 33) and school counselors can run programs to raise awareness of the negative effects of violence on children. Intervention in crisis situations focuses on interrupting events that have led to psycho-social dysfunctions.
