Summary/Abstract: The topic of analysis of processes and events is becoming increasingly widespread not only in analytical philosophy but also in computer science, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence. Different philosophical approaches to conceptualizing events and processes are compared to obtain the basic concepts, their specification, and interrelationships in this contribution. A conceptual framework for process ontology is proposed, close to natural language and based on John Sowa's approach and the linguistic theory of verb valency frames.
