Restorative Principles of The Juvenile Justice Act

Summary/Abstract: The legislation of the justice regarding the juvenile cases, contrary to the general legislation applied in cases of adult offenders, claims allegiance with the restorative principles. This paper submits an outline of the international professional discussion on how the restorative justice defines itself and, subsequently, what techniques and approaches can be considered restorative. The results of this discussion are then confronted with the content aspect of the Czech legislation and with the goals this legislation has defined as restorative.
