Activity of Probation and Mediation Service of the Czech Republic in Preliminary Proceedings when Dealing with Juvenile Delinquency

Summary/Abstract: The Law on Juvenile Justice prefers preventive, educational and rehabilitative purpose of criminal proceedings and reparation of victim over repression and highlights the principles of restorative justice. Probation and mediation service of the Czech republic in dealing with youth crime in pre-trial aims to the application of these principles through cooperation with the offender and the victim by using of restorative approaches and appropriate educational measures.
