Summary/Abstract: The paper examines the pros and cons of online social work. Possibilities and alternatives for remote social work with clients are discussed. Some of the more significant difficulties in online social work are identified in terms of building trust, security, ethical challenges, quality and efficiency. The analyzed advantages and disadvantages point to a position for hybrid digital-physical practice of social work in the coming years.
