Summary/Abstract: Case pending before the International Court of Justice concerning Ukraine v. Russian Federation will be a landmark in international law and international relations, in the new political order of the world whose reconfiguration has been triggered by the military invasion of Ukraine - a sovereign European state. The direction the world will take, a direction in which things can be controlled/dictated either by those outside the international rules or by those who respect rules, also depends on the Court's Judgments in this case and on actions that other international bodies will take under and for compliance with those judgments.
