Summary/Abstract: Social action representation in critical discourse studies deals with the analysis of the ideological implications in the use of different process types within the ideational metafunction in systemic functional linguistics, by means of which social action takes place. This paper explores the representation of social actions of the Arab League vis-à-vis the Palestinian issue using critical discourse analysis. The aim of this paper is to explore the nature of the actions that the Arab League, as the most influential international Arab organization, undertook in a period of three years. The corpus consists of news published on the official website of the Arab League related to the Palestinian issue over the period from mid-2019 to mid-2022. The representation of social actions is explored according to the socio-cognitive model of Theo van Leeuwen.
