Summary/Abstract: The author undertook research on the application of automated decision-making processes in law, in particular in the course of issuing administrative decisions and court rulings. It was assumed that in the process of law auto-mation, a person should play a leading role, and granting specific verification (supervisory) competences will not only strengthen the public’s confidence in further computerization of the law, but will also guarantee fundamental rights, including the right to court and the right to privacy. The author tries to show that further development will depend on the position of a human being in the system of law automation. The purpose of the article is to present which specific safeguards and legal solutions should be introduced in connection with the automation of the decision-making process in public administration and the judiciary. In further research, the author focuses on whether the proposed solutions will increase public confidence in automation / artificial intelligence.
