Summary/Abstract: The military foreign language courses have a specific character which is different from foreign language learning in general, regarding the target audience, the framework in which it takes place, the types of courses, etc. The foreign language teacher is also different, taking into consideration that he/she has to improve their education by accumulating specialized knowledge in the field and to collaborate closely with military teachers. The present paper is meant to bring further arguments for the participation of military instructors as guest speakers to English courses, be they intensive or non-intensive, to the overall benefit of course participants, teachers, and the teaching process as such.
