TYPES OF OPERATIONS, ACTION FORMS AND PROCEDURES USED BY THE ARMED FORCES IN ORDER TO DIMINISH THE ECONOMIC AND MILITARY POTENTIAL OF THE OPPONENT

Summary/Abstract: The analysis of the relationships between the economic power and the military power of a state emphasises the complementarity and the interdependencies between the resources of the respective state and the combat power of its armed forces. Neutralizing the sources of the economic power of the state, denying the support provided to the combat units by interrupting the logistic flow and destroying the logistics resources are actions that decisively influence the outcome of a conflict. In this context, it is necessary to redirect the strategies and tactics towards forms and procedures that are specific to the economic confrontation, such as the strategic attack, the blockade and the land, air and maritime interdiction.
