ДЕФИНИСАЊЕ БИОНИМА У РЕЧНИЦИМА СРПСКОГА ЈЕЗИКА
DEFINING OF BIONYMS IN DICTIONARIES OF SERBIAN LANGUAGE

Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses about fungus, plant and animal names, so called bionyms, in three Serbian dictionaries. The authors analyze those bionyms only if they refer to what is above the category which denotes genus or species (family, order, class, etc.). The definitions and forms of these lexemes are not lexicographically uniformly presented, there are certain differences not only between dictionaries but even within one dictionary. All bionyms in dictionaries should be given in the singular form and the scientific names of families, orders, classes, etc. should not be mentioned in the definition (except species and genera).
