Summary/Abstract: When illness occurs in a child’s life there are at least six means of expressing it: behavioural, narrative, through writing- the so called narrative medicine or beyond narration, the artistic form of expression whether it is through painting, music or any other artistic self-expression feature, body language-theatrical, that could be assimilated with behavioural changes or means of self-expression and last but not least somatic, physical or the so called body-mind related changes. The article analyses the mother-child relationship when the child is confronted with the disease, as well as how the child reacts when confronted with external stimuli.
