Summary/Abstract: In literary criticism Alexandru Andriţoiu is considered a neoclassical poet. Neoclassicism is a literary artistic movement which has been remarked in the second half of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century. This literary movement requires the domination of hardness having as a model Greek and Roman art. In the proletcultist spirit of the time, Alexandru Andriţoiu debuted with the volume of poetry entitled "In the Romanians’ Land is Day" in 1953, awarded with the "State Prize", third grade. His poetry of a well-shaped, solid and straightforward upsurge embodies a strong feeling, able to vibrate with the same power, regardless of the states of mind that the reader has. Love to the country finds its source by honoring the heroes of Transylvania, where the present becomes heroic itself, by its interference with the past, but also by its social and material changes. The volume of lyrics has a rigorous theme in which social reality is exposed, becoming the poet of the facts and the evolution of the past life of motions. The thematic unit of the work is closely related to the unity of lyrical stamp. The events in people's lives stood at the basis of the lyrics and gave the author a strong emotional state, which tones the entire lyrical construction in different colors. The poet speaks instead of his heroes, but he also tells facts loaded with the pressure of the tragic situations that he created, where he is constantly around his brave people, that gives them a passage from one poem to another poem. Elaborately and finely crafted texts, cleansed by any dramatic communication, delight him, but also make him feel a nostalgia for the imperfectness of the reader. The poetry is due to be taken into the precious creation of Romanian literature.
