Summary/Abstract: Communism has become a history, even if, on a mega-temporal scale, it is not too stretched, it has a well-defined structure, which allows for a complex analysis of it that should cover a few levels: geographic, historical, spiritual and, why not, human. The influence of Marxist-Leninist ideology, the relationship of communism with socialism and capitalism, but one can also speak of a relationship between communism and modernism, meaning that Marx's thinking, born of a profound analysis of nineteenth century capitalism in Europe, during the transition to industrialization, becomes a landmark for modernity. Also, communism could be considered a literary ideology and even a literary trend by addressing topics that become specific to the literature of that period and to the representative writers. It is also surprising the effort of Romanian writers to resist and write without addressing specific themes of propaganda literature, here is the case of the writer Constantin Mateescu.
