Summary/Abstract: Although it is not a part of flexible speech, the adverb can present and analyze from different perspectives, offering a particular aspect to the class to which it belongs. This study presents the pragmatic aspects of the adverb used in the current Spanish political discourse. It will be noticed that adverbs - pragmatic marks have different roles (concession, agreement, reformulation, introducing a theme of discourse, conclusion, confirmation, correction, disagreement etc.), depending on the context in which they are found.
