Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study was to analyse the articles that comprise a monograph entitled Spartacus – History and Tradition. This paper discusses the contents and the layout of the monograph and provides some supplements with an emphasis on the comments on specific issues concerning Spartacus that appear in the articles. Particular attention was devoted to the sequence of texts and the internal organisation of the work. Moreover, the paper addresses the contents of each text and the study methodology. Supplements regarding the literature section were provided and some oversights in the monograph were identified.
