Summary/Abstract: Christianity, through the monks „as the angels- has given a continous presence in the Christian world. They are the spiritual sentinels in a kingdom/empire that wished to be the mirror of the heavenly kingdom: Byzantium, Constantinople „The City of the Angels". They are teachers, taumaturgists, diplomats, linguists, poets, musicians, painters and architects. They are fighters in the „word warŗ against heresies, against iconoclasm. By virtue of obedience to Godʼs forgiveness for the disobedience of the protoparents . Through pure discernment, wise counsel, they became spiritual guidance for the poor and the kings. They are friends of the Truth. And they are among us.
