Summary/Abstract: The following study traces the development of the architectural landscape in Bulgarian painting during the 1960s. Architectural landscape represents a specific part of the landscape genre, owing to its unique image and therefore makes up a substantial portion of the art of painting. During the 60’s, interest in the genre is substantial and the quantity of art works within it - especially rich. The article analyzes not only the main trends and directions of the architectural landscape, but also many individual works, artistic assignments and creative achievements.Attention is given to artists working in this direction, the themes which they develop, their styles and forms of expression. Industrial landscape, a part of architectural landscape, also emerges during the 60’s. Its main representatives, their body of work and connections with the architectural landscape are tracked.
