Summary/Abstract: Phenomenology has historically accorded a privilege to temporality. In contrast, by scrutinizing the constitutive role of existential spatiality for human existence, this study defends the equiprimordiality of temporality and spatiality. I will present an outline of a “transcendental archeology” of lived space, grounded on some leading phenomenological discourses – namely, phenomenology of affectivity and corporeality, and existential psychiatry. Whereas Heidegger’s project in Being and Time (1927) reveals the normative character of lived space, the particular problems of corporeality (Leiblichkeit) and embodiment are left undiscussed in his early work. For their part, Richir’s and Minkowski’s projects broaden the scope of existential spatiality, proceeding from the questions about the origin of lived space and the consequences of deviated spatialization in abnormal psychic states of human life. Thus, the aim of this study is to synchronize the above-mentioned discourses in the form of an architectonics of existential spatiality.
