THE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH IN THE EDUCATIONAL FIELD FOR HEALTH PURPOSES

Summary/Abstract: The research concerning health education in high school has had a predominantly experimental approach whose goal was the development and testing of the impact of a curricular model- a regime of optional discipline – Health Education for high school students. The experiment focused on a target population of 200 10thgrade high school students, aged 16-17, from ―I.L. Caragiale National College Ploiesti. The research tool was represented by a questionnaire of 11 questions, which was applied not only to the experimental group, but also to thae control group, at the experimental group and suited the fundamental educational needs of any teenager, depending on the psychosomatic development, the creation of a healthy lifestyle, stress control and the integration of sexuality in the teenager‘s emotional life becoming essential to the student‘s harmonious development. The data collected in this research will be used to augment the health educational needs of students so that they, through good health practices and through their attitudes and opinions, can influence the health of the community and, indirectly, that of their parents.
