Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to define the philosophical and anthropological boundaries of the stage space as a game phenomenon. The research methodology is focused on comparative and systemic approaches, which enables a comparative analysis of the formation of the integrity of the synergistic, architectural, plastic dimensions of the artistic image of the scenic synthesis of arts. Scientific novelty of the article. It is proved that the "theatre of cruelty", according to A. Artaud, is defined in the context of bodily implications, and the "super marionette" of H. Craig is presented as a willful impulse of the cultural and historical resource of the stage play. Conclusions. Concepts-metaphors of A. Artaud and H. Craig influenced the artistic thinking of stage masters, in particular, they found expression in the work of I. Stravinsky, Vs. Meyerhold, B. Brecht.
